Vitaly Vygodsky [1] Vitaly Solomonovich Vygodsky, (December 23, 1928 - May 8, 1998)

was a Russian political economist and Marxologist, with skills in theoretical mathematics and physics. He studied three years at the physics department of Moscow State University, before he realized that physics was not his vocation, and he joined the department of political economy at Moscow State Economics Institute in 1950 [2]. His research included the genesis of the economic studies of Karl Marx, the history of the creation of Das Kapital, and surplus value [3]. In 1972, he became a Doctor of economic sciences, and he was awarded the title of Honored Worker of Science.
