Teresa Canela [1] Teresa Canela Gimenez, [2]

a Catalan industrial property agent and administrator, and Woman International Master [3] [4], from 1975 to 1985 the dominating Catalan female chess player, six times winner of the Catalan Chess Woman Championship [5]. She played five Women’s Chess Olympiads for Spain, Haifa, 1976 (winning Bronze medal), Thessaloniki, 1984, Dubai, 1986, Thessaloniki, 1988, and Novi Sad, 1990, and further qualified for the Tuzla Interzonal in 1987 [6]. Along with chess player and chess programmer Josep Parés, she reported on early Spanish Computer Chess Championships in the ICCA Journal.
