Revelation II [1] Revelation II,

a dedicated chess computer system developed by Ruud Martin’s Phoenix Chess Systems in cooperation with Digital Game Technology (DGT), first shipped as of December 2013 [2] as successor of Phoenix Chess Systems’ Revelation [3]. Beside an upgraded XScale PXA320 32-bit processor at 800 MHz with now 128 MiB of RAM and 1 GiB non-volatile flash memory for firmware and engines, and wider OLED display, the primary innovation of the Revelation II is the DGT board technology featuring piece recognition. A wireless Bluetooth connection allows native engine or firmware updates, and due to the UCI server, also allows using the Revelation II as dedicated user interface for UCI engines running on a PC.
