Hector for Chess, (HfC)
a
general game playing
search core module (Hector) along with a compile time connected game specific chess module, both written by
Csaba Jergler in
C++, supporting both, the
Chess Engine Communication Protocol and the
Universal Chess Interface [2].
Hector for Chess played the
WCCC 2010 and
WCSC 2010
ICGA
World Computer Chess Championship and
World Chess Software Championship in
Kanazawa [3], four
ACCA World Computer Rapid Chess Championships, the
WCRCC 2007,
WCRCC 2008,
WCRCC 2009, and
WCRCC 2010, the
CCT11, and the
MASPV 2007 and
MASPV 2008
Hungarian Chessprogram Open.
Its predecessor under the name Hector was written in
Delphi, and competed at the
MASPV 2001 and
MASPV 2002 [4], where it had tough fights versus the
Pandora.
