Eberhard Klein,

a German mathematician and computer scientist. Along with M. Krüger, Eberhard Klein is primary author of the early mainframe chess program Samiel, which was subject of their diplom thesis at Gesellschaft für Mathematik und Datenverarbeitung mbH, Bonn [1]., further elaborated by Klein in his Ph.D. thesis on the topic of heuristics selection and learning methods in computer games at the University of Bonn under advisor Gerd Veenker [2].
